Vivian Stamatopoulos is a PhD Candidate in the Graduate Program in Sociology at York University. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto (Psychology/Sociology) and a Master of Arts (Sociology) from York University. Vivian’s research interests include quantitative and qualitative research methods, having been awarded the President’s University Wide Teaching Award and the James O’Neil Award for Teaching Excellence for her instruction of Sociological Research Methods at York University. When not teaching or working towards the completion of her doctorate, Vivian has provided research expertise to a variety of organizations including St. Michael’s Hospital (Centre for Research on Inner City Health), YMCA, Statistics Canada, York University and the University of Toronto. With Amazement Parks Canada, Vivian has led a multimethod research strategy dedicated to enhancing the experience of visitors by gaining feedback from the local community.
